Disappointment filled Xavi Hernandez's speech after his team, Barcelona, tied with Valencia 1-1, considering that the lack of effectiveness was the main reason for the crisis facing the Catalan club this season, especially in the bat match.
Xavi, who finds himself under tremendous pressure after his third stumble in a row, spoke in the press conference after the match, saying, “I think we are one of the least effective teams in Europe, even though we are among the clubs that create the most chances. I am very disappointed today.”
He also added, "We have to give confidence to the players so that they can become more effective in front of goal. We train to finish attacks in training, but in matches the matter is about the players' self-confidence."
He continued, "We deserved to win today. We did everything, but what happened in the past weeks regarding effectiveness in front of goal was repeated."

As for how he will deal with the pressures, he replied, “I am calm and still have the same passion. We are on the right path. We leave the match with good feelings and we will improve a lot in the next.”
"We wasted many chances, and these things happen. We deserved to win. We did a lot to win the match. This is the same thing that happened last week. Today we wasted two points even though we played a very good match."
Xavi concluded his speech by saying, "The opponent today was strong and aggressive in defense. We have to be like them. We have to improve a lot in our defense."
It remains to be noted that this tie puts Barcelona in third place with 35 points, and the difference with leaders Girona could increase if they win their match this week, to 9 points.
