A historic five-goals win for Al-Nassr over Al-Ittihad

Al-Nassr crushed its host Al-Ittihad, and defeated it 5-2, in the postponed match of the 17th round of the Saudi League, which was held at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium.

Although Al-Ittihad took the lead with Abdul Razzaq Hamdallah's goal in the 15th minute, Al-Nassr quickly equalized through Cristiano Ronaldo from a penalty kick in the 19th minute, then Anderson Talisca gave Al-Alami the lead in the 38th minute.

Hamdallah returned again and scored the adjustment for Al-Nassr, but Fabinho turned the match upside down after he caused a penalty kick and was sent off, and Cristiano Ronaldo scored his second and Al-Nasr’s third goal.

Sadio Mane finished off the exhausted Al-Ittihad with two goals in the 75th and 82nd minutes, announcing the continuation of Al-Nassr’s series of positive results this season.

Ronaldo's double in Al-Ittihad represented a special history for the Portuguese international, as he became the highest scorer in the history of the Saudi League in one year, with 33 goals, equal to the previous record holder, Omar Al-Somah.

Ronaldo still has the opportunity to achieve this number if he succeeds in scoring another goal in the next Al-Nassr match.

The reference in this regard remains that Ronaldo became the world's top scorer in 2023, after he scored 53 goals and broke up the partnership with Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe.

With this victory, Al-Nassr’s score rose to point 43, 7 points behind leaders Al-Hilal, while Al-Ittihad’s score froze at point 28 in sixth place.
