Al-Fateh player: The referee is the reason why Al-Hilal beat us

Marwan Saadane, a player of Al-Fateh, came out with controversial statements in which he considered that Honduran referee Victor Martinez helped Al-Hilal win against his team in Friday's match.

After a series of outstanding results, Al-Fateh fell into the trap of losing to the Saudi league leaders 2-0, and the defeat seems to have caused great anger in Marwan Saadan.

"The penalty kick that the referee awarded to Al Hilal and the first goal came, was the only one he saw, so he did not give himself a chance to think before making a decision," the Moroccan player said after the match.

"The referee should have given Ali al-Blihi another warning and then sent him off for wasting time, but when he went to him and remembered that he had a yellow card, he backed it down."

Al-Hilal's victory raised its score to 32 points and maintained its lead in the Saudi league by 7 points temporarily from Al-Nasr, while Al-Fateh froze its score at 23 points in fourth place.
