Al-Nassr coach: Cristiano Ronaldo is the best in the world

Luis Castro, Al-Nassr coach, praised his team’s star Cristiano Ronaldo following the 3-0 victory over Al-Akhdood in the Saudi League, considering that “The Don” is the best player in the world.

Ronaldo scored two goals from the Al-Nassr hat-trick against Al-Akhdood in the match that was held at Al-Awal Park Stadium, thanks to which the Castro squad reduced the gap with the leader of the Roshan League, Al-Hilal, to one point.

Ronaldo reached goal No. 15 this season in the Saudi League, becoming the top scorer, 5 goals ahead of the closest pursuer, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Al Hilal striker.

After the match, the Portuguese coach spoke to the media about Ronaldo, saying, “Cristiano is a different player. He is the best in the world, and when you have the best, everything becomes easy for you.”

He also added, "Our team has a good list that solves any problems we face. I am happy with my team and the state of the union that the team as a whole is in."

He continued, "We controlled the match and we were the better side and we won with a good result against a good team. It is too early to talk about the title fight. The league is still a long time away."

Since Al-Nassr lost in the first two rounds of the Saudi League in August, the team has only known victories, whether at the local or Asian level, with the exception of one draw, which was against Abha.

Concerning this, Castro commented, “We lost the first 6 points, but in the end we were able to close the gap with the leaders. We are not looking back, and as I said, the league is still long.”

It is noteworthy that Al-Nassr will face Persepolis in the fifth round of the AFC Champions League group stage next Monday, then prepare for the most important summit against Al-Hilal scheduled for next week at King Fahd International Stadium.
