Bayern Munich resorts to a “strange deal” by decision of Thomas Tuchel

German media reported that Bayern Munich's management had reached an agreement with Eric Dier on personal terms to include him during the current winter transfer period.

Dier, who is active at Tottenham, has been greatly marginalized since the arrival of coach Ange Postecoglou, having played only 4 matches this season in all competitions.

According to reports, Bayern agreed with Dyer on all the details based on the desire of coach Thomas Tuchel, but decided to postpone officially finalizing the deal until other options were studied.

As for Tuchel, Dier can be relied upon as a center back and midfielder, and thus he can fill Bayern's gaps until the summer, and his great experience guarantees an immediate addition to the Bavarian club in light of its competition for the German League and the Champions League.

It is not expected that there will be a crisis in reaching an agreement with Tottenham to include the 29-year-old, although it is most likely that the deal will be completed on loan, with Bayern bearing the English international’s full salary.

The deal raised the eyebrows of many, considering that Dyer's star has declined significantly in the last two years, and his age is considered old, and he is not expected to be the best option to solve the defensive crisis this season.

But in the end, Thomas Tuchel is Dier's biggest fan, and he even tried to include him last summer, and the most likely thing is that the player will join this winter unless Bayern succeeds in including another defender from 3 options other than the Englishman currently on the management table.
