Journalist Thomas Roncero, who works for the newspaper "As", published a video attacking and mocking Messi's victory in the Ballon d'Or, and considered that even winning the World Cup was not enough for the flea to win the award for the best.

It remains to be noted that Cristiano Ronaldo was not present for the second year in a row in the final list of candidates for the Ballon d'Or, which includes 30 names, and 2017 was the last year in which the Don achieved the award, before the beginning of the decline of his career with Juventus and Manchester United, which was followed by joining the Saudi Al Nassr.
