Jesus withdraws the Man of the Match award from Malcom to prove his team's dominance over Al Ahli

Al Hilal coach Jorge Jesus rejected the decision to award the best player award in his team's match against Al Ahli to Blue Wave star Malcom.

The Portuguese coach's refusal did not stem from grumbling or anger towards the Brazilian star, but rather wanted to point out the extent of Al Hilal's dominance and control of the match completely, by choosing goalkeeper Edouard Mendy as the man of the match, not Malcom.

Speaking to the media after the match, Jesus said: "The decision to award Malcom the Man of the Match award is incorrect".

"The man of the match is supposed to be Mendy because he saved his team from too many goals," he added.

The figures show that the Senegalese goalkeeper made 3 saves from Al-Hilal, in addition to saving a penalty kick from Aleksandar Mitrovic in the first half.

On the missed penalty and who should shoot in the absence of Neymar from Al-Hilal, Jesus replied, "I did not specify, Salem as the leader decided to give the ball to Mitrovic, the rival always at the top of the scorers and in general, everyone is likely to waste penalties."

It should be noted that Mitrovic scored a goal after that for Al-Hilal, and the match ended with a 3-1 victory for the Jesus Battalion and reaching 29 points, with which the "leader" leads the Saudi league standings.
