Cristiano Ronaldo lost the title of top scorer in the Euro 2024 qualifiers to Romelu Lukaku, after the latter scored 4 goals in Belgium's 5-0 victory over Azerbaijan.
Ronaldo had scored two goals in Portugal's victory over Liechtenstein in the last round, seizing the top scorers' list from Lukaku, but the Roma star, with a series of records, decided the title in his favor.
This was the first time in Lukaku's history that he scored a Super Hat-trick with the Belgium national team, and the third match in his career in which he scored three or more goals, whether with the national team or clubs.
The number of Lukaku's goals in the Euro qualifiers reached 14, while Ronaldo scored only 10 goals, while Kylian Mbappé ranks third after his last "hat-trick" against Gibraltar in France's historic 14-0 victory.
Ronaldo may also lose the top spot in the Euro qualifiers if Mbappe succeeds in scoring two goals in France's last match in the competition against Greece next Tuesday, or if Harry Kane scores 3 goals in the England-North Macedonia match.
Ranking of top scorers in Euro 2024 qualifiers
Romelu Lukaku (Belgium) - 14 goals

Harry Kane (England) - 8 goals
Rasmus Hoyland (Denmark) - 7 goals
