Football Insider blew a surprise of heavy caliber when it revealed that Manchester City's management is considering not renewing the contract of its legend Kevin De Bruyne due to his many injuries in recent seasons.
The Belgium international has been sidelined with Pep Guardiola's squad since August and is expected to return to action after the November international break.
According to the report, City management fears that a repeat of De Bruyne's injuries will affect his form, along with the other impact that his absence will have on the team, so they are studying the situation well before making a final decision on the 32-year-old.
De Bruyne's current contract with Manchester City runs until the summer of 2025, and if he continues until that time with the English club, he will have completed 10 years in the blue shirt since wearing it in 2015 after signing from Wolfsburg.
