Manchester City considering not renewing De Bruyne's contract

Football Insider blew a surprise of heavy caliber when it revealed that Manchester City's management is considering not renewing the contract of its legend Kevin De Bruyne due to his many injuries in recent seasons.

The Belgium international has been sidelined with Pep Guardiola's squad since August and is expected to return to action after the November international break.

According to the report, City management fears that a repeat of De Bruyne's injuries will affect his form, along with the other impact that his absence will have on the team, so they are studying the situation well before making a final decision on the 32-year-old.

De Bruyne's current contract with Manchester City runs until the summer of 2025, and if he continues until that time with the English club, he will have completed 10 years in the blue shirt since wearing it in 2015 after signing from Wolfsburg.

Overall, City's decision not to renew De Bruyne's contract could mean allowing him to leave early next summer to benefit financially from his successor rather than leaving for free in the summer of 2025.

De Bruyne had great career at the Etihad Stadium, where he won the Premier League title 6 times, along with the historic Champions League title in the 2022-2023 season, and scored 96 goals in all competitions in addition to assisting 153 goals.
