Manchester United turns to the Bundesliga to save its weak attack in January!

Serho Djerassi, Stuttgart striker

The German network "Sky Sports" reported that Manchester United is very interested in signing Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy during the upcoming winter transfer period.

Guirassy is considered the biggest surprise in the German League this season after he scored 15 goals in 10 matches he played with southern Club, ranking second in the Bundesliga’s top scorers behind Harry Kane (18 goals).

Manchester United is looking for a striker to save its modest attacking line, which has only scored 16 goals in the English Premier League, in light of the decline in Marcus Rashford’s levels and Rasmus Højlund's failure to provide the hoped-for addition so far.

The choice of 27-year-old Guirassy emerged due to his abilities on the one hand, and the lack of need to pay a lot of money to sign him on the other hand, as he has a release clause worth only 17.5 million euros in his contract with Stuttgart, which takes effect at the beginning of the winter Mercato.

As confirmed by Sky, Guirassy may actually be interested in moving to United, especially since he has expressed on more than one occasion his dream of playing in the English Premier League, and a club the size of the Red Devils would be an ideal destination for him.

It is noteworthy that United is not the only club interested in contracting with Guirassy, as Newcastle, Milan and Roma have also been linked to including the Stuttgart striker in recent days.

United management has developed an alternative plan in the event that the signing of Guirassy fails, by signing another striker from the German League, Leipzig player Timo Werner, who, in contrast to the Guinean striker, is experiencing one of the worst seasons of his career.

Werner, a native of Stuttgart, scored only two goals this season with Leipzig in 13 appearances, most of them as a substitute, and his departure from his club in January became a matter of time, as all concerned parties confirm.

Perhaps the United management was attracted to the idea of Werner's low price and his previous experience in the English Premier League with Chelsea, and consequently, he will not need a long time to adapt to the atmosphere of Old Trafford.

It is noteworthy that Rasmus Højlund, who was hired by United for 75 million euros last summer from Atalanta, has not scored any goals in the English Premier League so far, but he has scored 5 goals, all of them in the Champions League.
