Roma coach Jose Moreno apologized to Giallorossi star Renato Sanches in front of the media, after the capital club lost 2-0 to Bologna in the Italian League.

Mourinho introduced Sanches at halftime of the match, and after only 18 minutes of his introduction, he removed him again.

The Portuguese coach's decision was technical and not due to injury, and Sanches appeared angry and surprised at the same time when he left the field.

After the defeat, Mourinho spoke to the media about this decision, saying, "I want to make a special apology to Renato Sanches."

He also added, "Removing him after 18 minutes is difficult for any player, but it is also difficult for the coach."

He continued, "I've done this three or four times in my career. I'm really sorry for Renato."

Renato joined Roma this season on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, but he is facing great misfortune due to injuries, as he has played only 9 matches so far, most of which he did not complete.

With Roma's defeat, the "Wolves" fell to seventh place in the Italian League standings with 25 points, while Bologna reached fourth place with 28 points.
