Neymar provokes a new crisis between Al Hilal and Brazil

The Brazilian network "Globo Sport" revealed a dispute between the management of Saudi Al Hilal and the Brazilian Football Federation, due to Neymar da Silva's recent injury.

The "Blue Wave" star injured during the Brazil-Uruguay match in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with a cruciate ligament tear, ending his season after only 5 appearances with his new club.

The last period was a recovery from the first pain of the injury, and Neymar is supposed to undergo surgery, but it has been delayed so far due to the dispute between Al-Hilal and the Brazilian Federation.

The Saudi club wants to entrust the task of performing the operation to the famous French surgeon Bertrand Sonneri-Cotet, who specializes in serious knee operations, while the Brazilian Federation prefers national team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar for his previous history with Neymar.

Rodrigo was the one who oversaw Neymar's surgery after he broke his foot in 2018, and he has a close relationship with the player that makes him resort to him in any injury, however, Al Hilal prefers to resort to another option.

In general, whatever surgeon Neymar will be treated, the 31-year-old will be out of action for 10 months, meaning he will not return until the start of next season.

It is noteworthy that Al Hilal paid 90 million euros to sign Neymar last summer from Paris Saint-Germain, and the Brazilian played only 5 games, during which he scored one goal and assisted 3 others.
