The Sun reports that David De Gea turned down a big offer from Saudi Arabia's Al Nassr to sign him last summer for £500,000 a week.

De Gea has been without a club since his contract with Manchester United expired at the end of last season and the English club decided not to extend him, but is expected to return again with the next winter transfer window.

According to the report, the reason Dee rejected the offer was that he did not want to move to one of the Arab teams at the current stage of his career.

At the same time, the Spanish goalkeeper is more open to the idea of moving to an MLS club in the future.

Specifically, De Gea does not mind a move to Inter Miami, who are already interested in securing his services, mainly because of the presence of Spanish duo Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets there.

Spanish newspapers had previously suggested that negotiations between the 31-year-old and Real Betis management were progressing positively for a move to the Andalusian club in January.

English newspapers also reported that De Gea may return in January to Manchester United to replace Andre Onana, who will be absent for nearly a month for his participation with Cameroon in the African Cup of Nations.
