Reports: Ittihad settles on dismissal of Nuno Santo

It seems that Al-Ittihad's 2-2 draw with Al-Hazm on Thursday was the straw that broke the camel's back for the management of the "Brigadier", as Saudi newspapers confirm that coach Nuno Santo is living his last days in Jeddah and will be sacked within a few hours.

Since September 21, Al-Ittihad has not succeeded in achieving any victory in the Saudi league, drawing 3 games and losing one to Al-Ahli in the famous derby, and the team's position fell to become fifth, 5 points behind leaders Al-Hilal.

Santo has been heavily criticized in recent days and news of his dismissal has spread, and fans have started booing him after the Al-Hazm match, which he said was "surprised", he said after the match.

The Saudi newspaper "Al-Mayadeen" revealed that the Ittihad has already begun to search for a new coach before the match Al-Hazm, and after the last draw became the dismissal of the Portuguese a matter of time.

The newspaper identified the next match Al-Fayhaa as the last match that Santo will manage with Ittihad, after which his dismissal will be officially announced, without indicating who will succeed him in office.

Santo led Al Ittihad last season to the Saudi league for the first time since 2009 and hoped to lead his team to the Club World Cup in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in December.
