Revealing the nature of Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury and his position on playing against Al Hilal

Cristiano Ronaldo suffered an injury during Al-Nassr's 0-0 draw with Persepolis in the fifth round of the AFC Champions League groups.

Ronaldo fell to the ground and grabbed his neck after a violent intervention by one of the Iranian team players. Coach Luis Castro replaced him in the 78th minute, after which he left the field immediately and headed to the locker room.

According to the Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiah, the initial diagnosis of Ronaldo’s injury revealed that he suffered from a moderate bruise in the neck.

Ronaldo's position on joining Al Hilal's match scheduled for next Friday remains unknown, although Saudi stadium injury doctor Thamer Al Shahrani indicates that Don will play in the Riyadh derby to a large extent.

The matter depends on whether the injury is only muscular or includes other matters, and if it is muscular, there is no fear for Ronaldo to be present in the derby, as he will only need to undergo intensive physical therapy in the coming days.

Al-Nassr is scheduled to announce within the next few hours the Don’s final position after undergoing comprehensive examinations.

The 38-year-old is Al-Nassr’s top scorer this season in all tournaments, as he scored 15 goals in the Saudi League, and two more goals in the AFC Champions League, but he has not succeeded in scoring against opponents in the Saudi King’s Cup so far.

Al-Nassr enters the match with Al-Hilal in second place, 4 points behind Al-Mawj Al-Blue, so Luis Castro’s brigade aims to win due to its great moral value on the one hand, as well as reducing the gap and getting closer to the lead once again.

Al-Hilal has not yet suffered any defeat in the league, unlike Al-Nassr, which opened the season with two defeats, but since then it has not suffered a loss, so it won all its matches except against Abha and Persepolis, and a draw.
