Ronaldo, the world's top scorer in 2023, concludes the year with a goal in Al-Taawoun (video)

Cristiano Ronaldo reached his 54th goal in 2023, after he succeeded in scoring a goal against Al-Taawoun during his team’s match against “Sukari Al-Qassim” in the 19th round of the Saudi League.

The result indicated that Al-Alamy advanced 3-1, and in the 92nd minute Ronaldo decided to leave his mark on the match and end the year for his team with a goal in his own way.

The Portuguese international flew into the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Buraidah, and headed Talisca's cross into the net, announcing the fourth goal.

Ronaldo is the only top scorer in the Saudi League with 20 goals, 3 goals behind his closest competitor, Alexander Mitrovic.

At the same time, Al-Don raised his goal tally to 44 goals with Al-Nasr in 2023, and this goal was the 34th in the Saudi League specifically throughout the year.

In addition to his 10 other goals with the Portugal national team, the 38-year-old’s scoring tally now stands at 54 goals, surpassing Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe, who each have 52 goals, as the top scorer in 2023.

The Saudi League will be suspended for a full month due to the Saudi national team’s participation in the 2023 Asian Cup in Qatar.
