Zamalek is the first to qualify for the Confederation Cup quarter-finals, despite the draw with Sagrada

Zamalek settled for a disappointing goalless draw with Sagrada at the November 11 Stadium, in the fourth round match of the Confederation of Nations groups.

The White Club wasted a barrage of easy chances, specifically through Saif El-Din Al-Jaziri in the first half, and along with it, lost the chance to qualify for the quarter-finals early.

This goalless draw comes a few days after the sudden defeat against Al-Masry with an unanswered goal, which puts the future of coach Motamed Gamal at stake.

Zamalek's score rose as a result of the draw with Sagrada to the tenth point at the top of its group standings, and Abu Salim Al-Libi comes in second place with 6 points, followed by Sagrada with 4 points, and Sawar is at the bottom of the standings without points.

Thanks to this tie, Zamalek officially guaranteed its qualification to the quarter-finals, as the maximum that Sagrada can reach is 10 points, with the Egyptian club having the advantage in direct confrontations.

It is noteworthy that Zamalek will face Ceramica Cleopatra on Tuesday, January 2, before entering a long hiatus for the Egyptian national team to compete in the African Cup of Nations.
