Zamalek club president renews Fattouh’s contract

Zamalek announced the renewal of Ahmed Fattouh’s contract for the next 3 seasons, while the player apologized to the fans and club management for the recent crisis.

Fattouh's old contract expired at the end of the current season, amid interest from many clubs in including him, led by traditional rivals Al-Ahly.

The possibility of Fattouh's departure increased after he left the Zamalek camp before the Zed match without the permission of the technical staff, so his dues were deducted and he was suspended for a month.

But after negotiations between Zamalek and Fattouh, the crisis ended, and the player agreed to renew his contract, and indeed the left-back will remain in the White Club for the next three seasons.

Fattouh apologized to the Zamalek fans through a statement he issued on Sunday evening, in which he said, “I apologize for any misunderstanding that occurred during the last period, unintentionally and in good faith, to the club’s management, the great fans, and my colleagues, whether from my older sisters as team captains or my younger sisters from Zamalek’s youth team. The future of our great club, and we will always remain one and unite.” the last period".

He also added, "I accepted all sanctions, discounts, and any decisions to prove my good faith, my commitment, my love and appreciation for this entity, and my apology as well. We are all human and we are all sinners."

It is noteworthy that the Zamalek administration began working to lift the registration so that it could sign new players during the winter transfer period to save the season, after a bad start locally and despite success in reaching the Confederation Cup quarter-finals.
