Ziyech enters Moroccan history, winning the Man of the Match award for Galatasaray and United

Hakim Ziyech scored two goals in Galatasaray's draw with Manchester United in the Champions League, entering the history of his country, Morocco, from the widest doors.

Ziyech's brace raised his tally of goals in the Champions League to 10 goals, surpassing Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri and becoming the all-time top scorer for Moroccan players in the same season.

Ziyech scored 5 goals with his former team Ajax in the Champions League, then scored 3 more goals with Chelsea, and opened his scoring record with Galatasaray in Europe with two goals against Manchester United.

The Moroccan international's efforts were enough to win him the "Man of the Match" award presented by the European Football Association.

Galatasaray's chances of reaching the round of 16 of the Champions League have increased, as they need a draw or victory over Copenhagen in the final round to ensure qualification to the next round.

Ziyech joined Galatasaray last summer on loan with Chelsea, and has played 10 matches so far with the Turkish club in all tournaments, scoring 3 goals and assisting another goal.
