Bournemouth and Luton Town match cancelled

The match between Bournemouth and Luton Town at the Vitality Stadium witnessed an unfortunate incident, after Tom Lockyer fell unconscious and the match was cancelled.

Without warning, Lockyer fell to the ground, and referee Simon Hooper immediately stopped the match, and the medical team intervened to save him.

The referee then decided to remove the players from the field while Lockyer's treatment continued, and a decision was later made to cancel the match.

This is not the first time that Lockyer has been exposed to such a situation, as he faced the same situation in the Coventry City match in the Premier League qualifier last May and was subsequently transferred to the hospital.

The shot brought to mind what happened to Christian Eriksen in Euro 2020 in the Denmark-Finland match, and everyone hopes that the player will succeed in recovering, as happened to the current Manchester United star.

Because of this, the 29-year-old Lockyer underwent surgery to treat atrial fibrillation, a malfunction of the heart, after which he returned to the field after obtaining medical clearance.

According to English newspaper reports, Lockyer's condition is serious, but the player has begun to respond to treatment, which is a positive indicator.

The English Premier League is scheduled to announce the completion date for the match later this week.
