After 5 months of absence, De Bruyne is back!

Kevin De Bruyne returned to the field again after a long absence due to injury, and participated during Manchester City's sweeping victory over Huddersfield Town 5-0 in the third round of the FA Cup.

De Bruyne suffered the injury just 23 minutes into Burnley's opening match in the English Premier League last August, and because of it he was away from the field for 5 months.

The Belgian international was on the bench against Sheffield United last week, but coach Pep Guardiola preferred to be patient with his return to prevent any setback.

Now De Bruyne has succeeded in returning, after replacing Julian Alvarez in the 57th minute of the Huddersfield Town match, and he quickly made his mark.

The 32-year-old became City's fifth scorer less than 20 minutes after entering the field, after a more than wonderful pass was converted by Jeremy Doku into the Huddersfield net.

By making the goal, De Bruyne became the only player in the five major leagues to have scored more than 25 goals in all tournaments at the beginning of last season.

During that period, De Bruyne scored 10 goals and assisted 30 others in 52 matches in all tournaments.

In general, this is De Bruyne's second goal contribution this season, after making a goal in the Community Shield match against Arsenal at the beginning of the season.
