Al Ahly returns to victories with a difficult win over Al Mokawloon

After a series of disappointing results, Al Ahly managed to bounce back and win, beating Al Mokawloon 2-1 in the sixth round of the Egyptian league.

Al Ahly's front goal came in the first half through Taher Mohamed Taher in the last minute of stoppage time of the first half, before Mohamed Hani scored the second goal in the 84th minute.

Al Mokawloon ignited the match with the aim of reducing the difference in the 89th minute through Joseph Oshaia from the penalty spot, but his efforts to draw were unsuccessful.

It was Al Ahly's first win in four matches, all in Africa, after drawing with Simba back and forth in the quarter-finals, then losing to Sundowns in the semi-finals 1-0 in South Africa and a goalless draw in Cairo.

The victory raised Al-Ahli's balance to the ninth point with the full mark, 3 wins from 3 games, to reach fifth place, and surpasses its eternal rival Zamalek, who collected only 8 points from 6 games, while the lead is still for Pyramids with 13 points.
