Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad qualify for the round of 16 in the 2023-24 AFC Champions League

Al-Ittihad and Al-Nasr secured their qualification to the round of 16 in the AFC Champions League 2023-2024 after topping their groups before the end of the round.

“Al-Ameed” succeeded in achieving victory over Agmak of Uzbekistan outside the home with two goals from Abdul Razzaq Hamdallah, while “Al-Alami” tied 0-0 with Persepolis of Iran.

Al-Ittihad's victory was the team's first victory under the command of coach Marcelo Gallardo, after the "Jeddah Tigers" tied their first match with Al-Ittifaq 1-1 in the Saudi League.

This victory brought Al-Ittihad to the 12th point, and ensured its qualification even if it lost to Sepahan in the last round for second place.

Al-Ittihad will host its counterpart Sepahan at the Radiant Jewel Stadium next week, and a draw is enough for it to qualify from first place.

As for Al-Nassr, it secured its qualification from first place, reaching point 13, while Persepolis has 8 points with one round remaining to the end.

Al Ain of the United Arab Emirates was the first to qualify for the round of 16 in the last round, and Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia can also guarantee its qualification if it wins over Navbakor next Tuesday.

The first-place finishers from each of the five groups in the West, along with the three best second-placed teams, qualify for the round of 16.
