Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta returned to criticizing the refereeing, this time after his team's 1-0 loss to Aston Villa in the English Premier League.

The match included two controversial arbitration decisions against Arsenal in the second half, and when Arteta was asked about that, he replied, “I prefer not to comment on that.”

Regarding Kai Havertz's shot and Luiz's interception, Arteta's response was that the ball was a very clear mistake for Arsenal, but he refused to let go so as not to be subjected to a penalty from the English Premier League again.

The Spanish coach was not present on Arsenal's substitutes bench against Aston Villa due to his attack and violent statements against the referees in recent weeks.

Despite the defeat, Arteta expressed his satisfaction with his team’s performance, saying, “We performed well and I think we were the better team. We never deserved to lose this match, but it is football.”

He concluded, "All we lacked today was scoring goals. We created some dangerous chances and moved forward, but in the end we lost. All you need is to put the ball in the net, and we failed to do that."

It is noteworthy that Arsenal's loss caused it to fall to second place in the English Premier League standings, one point behind the new leaders Liverpool.
