Despite the failure in PL and European loss.. Højlund enters United history positively

Rasmus Højlund entered Manchester United's history from the widest doors during the Copenhagen Champions League clash.

The Denmark international scored both first goals for the Reds, in a game that Erik ten Hag's men eventually lost 4-3.

Højlund raised his tally of goals with the English club to 5 goals, all in the Champions League, becoming the first player in the history of Manchester United to score 5 goals in his first 4 games in the continental competition.

Curiously, all the goals of the 20-year-old were accompanied by the defeat of his team, scoring two goals in Galatasaray, another in Bayern Munich, and two goals in Copenhagen, and all these games ended by the defeat of the English club.

Meanwhile, Højlund became the youngest player to score a brace in a Champions League away game, aged 20 years and 272 days.

Another record recorded by Højlund is that he became the first Danish player to score a goal for a Danish team in the history of the Champions League, coincidentally against his former club Copenhagen.

Højlund joined United for €75m from Atalanta, but so far he has not managed to score a goal in the Premier League.
