Egyptian Ahmed Fattouh, Zamalek player

Reports from the Egyptian media indicated that Ahmed Fattouh will write an official apology to the fans and management of Zamalek after his recent crisis, while he is preparing to meet an official offer from the Al-Ettifaq Club within the next few hours.

Hussein Labib’s administration suspended Fattouh for a month and put him up for sale after he left the Zamalek camp a few hours before the Zed match without taking the permission of the technical staff.

Despite this, Fattouh joined the Egyptian national team camp and played against Djibouti in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, while he was on bench in the other match against Sierra Leone.

According to Egyptian reports, the player will issue an official statement via social media in which he apologizes to the fans, and will also send an official apology paper to the club management.

At the same time, Fattouh will continue to train individually in the gym until the end of the month and he returns again to training with the team.

Fattouh's agent indicated in statements in the past hours that he is receiving great interest from Al-Ettifaq, and Zamalek is expected to receive an official offer to buy the left-back in the coming hours.

Fattouh’s contract with Zamalek expires at the end of this season, and before the crisis there were negotiations on renewal, but the financial demands of the 25-year-old prevented reaching an agreement.

If the renewal negotiations situation continues as it is, it seems that the closest option will be for the White Club management to accept selling the player to Al-Ettifaq Club in order to make some money instead of leaving for free next summer.

It is noteworthy that Fatouh’s market value is 1.3 million euros, according to the TransferMarket website, and he played in a Zamalek shirt over of 4 years in 155 matches, during which he scored 5 goals and assisted 12 others.
