Guardiola is “fed up” because of Haaland!

Guardiola and Haaland celebrate breaking a new record

Pep Guardiola, Manchester City coach, expressed his boredom with the many press questions on every occasion about the records that Erling Haaland is breaking, noting that, as usual, he is “astonished” by what the Norwegian international offers.

Haaland scored a goal during City's remarkable comeback against Leipzig from 2-0 down to win 3-2, making him the youngest and fastest to reach the 40th goal in the Champions League, only after 35 matches and at the age of 23 years.

Guardiola was asked about this special number, and he replied, "Again? Should I say that again?" In reference to his distress at repeating the same questions on every occasion.

The Spanish coach added, "For the billionth time, I am truly amazed by him. A new record. Congratulations to him, he is a great player."

He also added, "I told him many times that we are very happy with him and we love him very much, not only because of the goals he scores, but for many other things."

Haaland arrived at City in the summer of 2022 from Borussia Dortmund for 65 million euros, and since then he has scored 71 goals in 73 matches, and finished second in the Ballon d'Or vote behind Lionel Messi.

During this season, the 22-year-old is the top scorer in the English Premier League with 15 points, and is also the top scorer in the Champions League with 5 goals.
