Haaland does in 3 appearances in the Manchester derby what Ronaldo did in 11 games!

Despite Erling Haaland's harsh criticism since the start of the season, he responded to everyone with a brace against Manchester United in the derby, in a 3-0 win for City.

Haaland scored the first goal from the penalty spot in the first half, and at the start of the second half he set the second goal, which moved away as the top scorer in the Premier League with 11 goals in 10 games.

It was the Norwegian's third match in the Manchester derby, and with his two goals he surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo's total tally, who had made 11 appearances for the Celestial Club.

Haaland scored three hat-tricks in the first leg of the Premier League last season against Manchester United, and his two goals today bring his total goals against the Red Devils to 5 goals.

Ronaldo, in two spells in a United shirt, scored just 3 goals.

Not only that, but after 3 derbies, Haaland became the fifth all-time top scorer for Manchester United and City matches with 5 goals and equal to City legend, Sergio Aguero, who scored the same number of goals but in 13 games.

Ryan Giggs is the all-time top scorer for the Manchester derby with 13 goals in 29 games, followed by Eric Cantona with 10 goals in 6 games and Wayne Rooney with 9 goals in 21 games.

Haaland's tally of goals this season in the Premier League (11) is the same as Manchester United's goals in the competition so far.
