Haaland enters the history of Premier League.. and Liverpool and Ronaldo are his latest victims

Erling Haaland scored Manchester City's goal over its guest Liverpool in the opening of the 13th round of the English Premier League, and in fact this goal was historic by all standards.

The series of records that the Norwegian has not stopped writing since he joined City last summer continues, as he has become the fastest player to score 50 goals in the history of the competition.

Haaland needed only 48 matches in the Premier League over two seasons to score 50 goals, thus breaking the previous record set by Andy Cole (50 goals in 65 matches).

On the other hand, it was said that Liverpool is Haaland's connection to City in the English Premier League, given that he failed to score in two matches last season, and his only goal came against the Reds in the League Cup.

But it seems that the 22-year-old has successfully untied the knot, with his goal making him have already scored against 20 different Premier League teams.

There is only one team that Haaland has not succeeded in scoring against in the Premier League, and that is Brentford.

In this regard, it is noteworthy that Haaland had previously scored a goal for Liverpool before joining City, when he met with Jurgen Klopp’s squad in the Champions League with Red Bull Salzburg.

On a related note, Haaland’s total goals in 2023 in all tournaments, whether with Manchester City or the Norwegian national team, has become 49 goals, surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo, Al Nassr's Star, who has scored 48 goals so far, and is the world’s top scorer in the current calendar.

It is worth noting that Haaland's goal against Liverpool raised his tally of goals to 14 goals in the English Premier League this season, thus moving him 4 goals away from the closest pursuer, Mohamed Salah.
