Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp announced that Joel Matip has suffered a cruciate ligament injury that will keep him out of action until the end of the season, while Alexis McAllister's position remains unknown after another severe injury in the last Sheffield United match.

The Cameroonian defender was injured during the Fulham match last week, and then Alistair's injury brought him to the injured list, headed by Thiago Alcantara, Andre Robertson, and goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

Klopp spoke at the press conference for the Sheffield match about Matip's injury, saying, "It's a cruciate ligament tear. I felt it from the first moment. It's bad luck."

As for McAllister's injury, he said, "The situation is unfortunate. He suffered a cut in his knee and the wound was open and required stitching. He is now unable to move. We will see how long he will need to recover."

At the same time, Klopp strongly attacked a journalist after he mocked the timing of Liverpool's next match against Crystal Palace at noon, a time that has always angered the German coach.

The journalist began his speech sarcastically, "You will play against Palace at your favorite time," to which the German replied, "It's great to hear a joke about that. I realize that you don't understand that either, even when you work in football."

Klopp continued, “If you said that as a joke, then you are completely ignorant.” The journalist apologized and confirmed that he was not trying to be disrespectful, but the Liverpool coach told him that he “actually was.”

It is noteworthy that Liverpool occupies second place in the English Premier League standings with a score of 34, two points behind leaders Arsenal.
