Klopp announces the date of Thiago Alcantara's return from his injury... very close!

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp confirmed that Thiago Alcantara is close to recovery and will return to participating in matches again with the Reds.

So far, the Spanish international has not played any matches with Liverpool due to injury, and was scheduled to return last October, had it not been for a new setback that kept him away from Anfield once again.

At the press conference for the Liverpool-Newcastle match, Klopp answered about when Alcantara will return, "He is at a very good moment. We just have to make sure that we do not use him too early so that he does not suffer a setback."

According to the German coach, Alcantara may return in mid-January, which is very positive news in light of the multiple injuries and the large number of matches in the coming period for Liverpool.

At the same time, Klopp revealed that Alexis Mac Allister is also on the cusp of returning, after returning to participate in group training.

The Argentine will most likely not be present in the Newcastle match, but after that he can be present again fully with the Reds.

Liverpool leads the English Premier League standings, two points behind runner-up Arsenal, and is preparing to face the Gunners in the FA Cup on January 7.
