Klopp hopes Egypt will be eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations groups!

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp expressed his hopes that the Egyptian national team will bid an early farewell to the 2023 African Cup of Nations so that the Reds can quickly regain the services of Mohamed Salah.

Salah joined the Egypt camp in preparation for the African Nations Cup scheduled to take place in Côte d'Ivoire from January 14 to February 12.

Because of this, Salah will initially miss Liverpool for 4 matches, which may increase to 7 if Egypt succeeds in reaching the final.

Salah is not the only player that Liverpool will lose in January, but also Wataru Endo, who will participate with the Japanese national team in the Asian Cup in Qatar.

Regarding this, Klopp said in statements to the media, “I would be lying if I said that I wish Salah and Endo good luck!”

He also added, "I hope that Egypt and Japan will exit the group stage, but this is not very possible."

He concluded, "Good luck to them then. All I hope now is that they return to us in good health and without injuries."

It is noteworthy that Egypt begins its campaign in CAN by facing Mozambique on January 14, in a group that also includes the teams of Ghana and Cape Verde.
