Koller: Football has given Al Ahly its back, and we can't win all the championships

Al Ahly coach Marcel Koller believes his team gave everything against Sundowns and deserved to win and qualify for the CAF League final.

Al Ahly were unable to score a goal and return in the second leg match held at Cairo International Stadium, to come out with a 1-0 aggregate in favor of the South African club.

"We could have taken a 3-0 lead in the first half, we missed a lot of chances and missed a penalty, today the better team is the one who came out of the tournament," Koller said in the post-match press conference.

"I understand the disappointment of the players and the fans, but sometimes football gives you its back, and that's how it was today."

As for the level of Al Ahly players, he replied, "They gave everything they had today, but we lacked luck, in the end the footballer is a human being and there is no one who can play at the same level all year, yet they gave everything they have today."

"There is no team in the world that wins all the games and titles, losing is part of the football culture."

Al Ahly is preparing in the next stage to return to the Egyptian league matches and start facing the penultimate place Arab Contractors, and then start their journey in the group stage of the African Champions League, and will also play the final of the Egyptian Cup, but his opponent or the date of the meeting has not yet been determined.
