Koller: No problems with Imam Ashour

Ahly coach Marcel Koller ended the controversy surrounding Imam Ashour and his injury issue, when he confirmed that the player has recovered from his injury and will be available normally against Sundowns in the second leg of the 2023 CAF League.

Imam Ashour has been absent from Al Ahly since the injury against Ismaily before the last international break, and despite the announcement that he will return as soon as life returns to the club matches, but the player missed the last 3 games and Kohler came out and threatened him in front of the media.

The Swiss coach said at the time that he sees the former Zamalek player does not run seriously and strongly in training, so he will conduct a medical examination for him, otherwise he will not participate because taking training seriously is the only way to be in the matches.

Between this and that there were many rumors, but Koller ended them when he said, "There are no differences between me and Imam Ashour."

"He was trying to get back to action quickly, but it was clear in training that he couldn't run well, so I decided to exclude him from the South Africa trip."

"I spoke to him and convinced him to be patient until he fully recovers, and in the last days he came back and trained well, it's an option for us against Sundowns, he got approval from the medical staff."

Al Ahly needs to beat Sundowns with two clean goals so that they can cross to the final of the African League following their defeat in the first leg of the semi-finals with 1-0.
