Koller threatens Imam Ashour and calls the Great Ahly Crisis

Al Ahly coach Marcel Koller sent a strongly worded message to Imam Ashour after missing Simba's last match in the second leg of the 2023 CAF League.

Ashour was injured in the Ismaily match before the international break and was supposed to return against Simba on Tuesday, but the surprise was that he was not in the squad at all.

In the post-match press conference, Koller revealed the reason for the absence of Imam Ashour and warned him at the same time, as he said, "I saw him running in training lightly and not giving everything he has, and I already asked to check him again, I feel that there are pains that we do not realize he has."

"But if it is proven that he is healthy and that he does not suffer pain, he should know that I do not allow a player who trains like this to participate in matches, that will not happen."

As for Al Ahly's level against Simba, he replied, "I object to the word unacceptable performance, we are performing well, it is unreasonable to win every game by three or four goals."

"We repeated the crisis of the first match today, our problem is wasting chances, the players must realize that this is not training, if we scored the goals we wasted, everyone would change the conversation about the game."

It is noteworthy that Al Ahly qualified for the semi-finals of the African League to meet the South African Sundowns, with the first leg to be held on October 29 in Pretoria, and the second leg in Cairo a few days later.
