Thanks to Ten Hag, Manchester United exits the Champions League after a series of disappointing results with Ten Hag.

Manchester United's journey in the Champions League and continental competitions in general ended after they suffered a 1-0 defeat from Bayern Munich at Old Trafford at the end of the group stage.

United needed to win over Bayern, provided that Copenhagen and Galatasaray drew in order to advance to the round of 16.

At worst, a win over Bayern combined with a win by either Copenhagen or Galatasaray was enough to secure Erik ten Hag's squad a place in the Europa League.

However, Kingsley Coman's goal, which came in the 70th minute, undermined all the English club's dreams, and Copenhagen also beat Galatasaray to accompany Bayern Munich to the round of 16.

This is the second consecutive defeat for United at Old Trafford, after losing to Bournemouth a few days ago 3-0 in the English Premier League.

Overall, this is Manchester United's twelfth defeat this season in all competitions, with 7 defeats in the league, a 3-0 defeat in the Carabao Cup from Newcastle, and 4 defeats in the Champions League.

United are at the bottom of their group with only 4 points, while Galatasaray will go to the Europa League after collecting 5 points.
