Manchester United have officially announced the injury of the duo of Rasmus Højlund and Christian Eriksen and their absence from the international break with Denmark.

Eriksen was injured in the first half of the last Luton Town match and was substituted, while Højlund completed the game until the 70th minute despite his injury and was then replaced by coach Erik ten Hag by Frenchman Anthony Martial.

According to the English club, Eriksen will be out for a month due to injury, while Højlund will not be available before the end of November in the Red Devils matches due to muscle strain.

The duo are included in a huge list of injured at Old Trafford, including Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, Terrell Malacia, Luke Shaw and Johnny Evans.

Højlund joined United from Atalanta last summer for more than €70 million, but so far he has not opened his scoring record in the Premier League, scoring only 5 goals in the Champions League, while Christian Eriksen plays an important role in the middle of the Old Trafford field.

It remains to be noted that a difficult period awaits United after returning from the international break, when Ten Hag's men faces Everton at Goodison Park, and then play Turkey's Galatasaray in a crucial Champions League away game.

United are sixth in the Premier League with 21 points, bottom of their Champions League group with 3 points and need two wins over Galatasaray and Bayern Munich to qualify for the round of 16.
