Mesut Ozil interjects Leonardo DiCaprio

Mesut Ozil came into the spotlight once again when he mocked famous actor Leonardo DiCaprio in defense of his former club Arsenal.

DiCaprio was asked in one of the interviews about Arsenal, and he replied, “What is Arsenal?” Indicating that he does not follow football and does not know the London club.

It seems that the legendary actor's speech did not please Ozil, who responded to him through his official account on the X website.

The German star wrote, “Arsenal is a football club, it is over 25 years old, so why would he know it?”

Ozil meant what the press has always said about DiCaprio, that he only enters into romantic relationships with women under 26 years old.

Ozil is considered one of Arsenal's legends, as he was active with the Gunners for a long period from 2013 until his departure to Turkey in 2021.

Ozil played 254 matches with Arsenal in all tournaments, during which he succeeded in scoring 44 goals and assisting 79 others.

This is not the first time that Ozil has entered into a media war with a star because of Arsenal. He had previously quarreled with Jose Mourinho when the latter was coach of Tottenham, in defense of the Gunners.
