Reports: Zamalek will sack Osorio

According to Egyptian press reports, the management of Zamalek has settled on the dismissal of Juan Carlos Osorio from the position after the backdrop of recent results.

The Whites suffered their second consecutive defeat in the Egyptian league this season on Friday, after losing to Zed 2-1 at Cairo International Stadium.

According to reports, the management of Zamalek believes that the team does not develop with the Colombian coach, in addition to his inability to control well the dressing room. So there is a need for change in the coming period.

At the same time, Osorio's successor will also be a foreign coach, and among the names on the table is Hussein Labib, former coach and leader of Zamalek to crown the confederation cup, the Swiss Christian Gross.

A large list of foreign coaches has already been offered to the Whites, including former Al Hilal coach Ramon Diaz and former Sevilla coach José Luis Mendelibar, who was sacked a few weeks ago from coaching the Andalusian club, a few months after winning the Europa League.

Osorio took over the coaching of Zamalek last April from Portuguese coach Jesualdo Ferreira, and led the team over 25 matches, during which he won 13 matches, with defeat 6 times and a draw in 5 other matches.

Zamalek occupies sixth place in the Egyptian league standings after 6 rounds with only 8 points, while the top of the competition is for Pyramids with 13 points.
