Rooney was dismissed from Birmingham due to poor results

Birmingham City FC announced the dismissal of its coach, Wayne Rooney, only 3 months after his appointment, due to poor results.

Rooney took over as coach of Birmingham last October in a move that greatly angered the club's fans, after the dismissal of their beloved coach, John Eustace, with no logical reason for taking this step.

Eustace had led Birmingham to avoid relegation last season, and also left a very distinguished team with which Rooney was supposed to compete for a return to the Premier League.

But the Manchester United legend only succeeded in winning two matches, losing 9 matches, and drawing 3 times in 15 matches.

When Rooney took over, Birmingham was in sixth place in the First Division, and after the recent defeat by Leeds United 3-0, the team fell to 20th place out of 24 teams in the competition.

Rooney also lost the support of Birmingham fans, who clearly called for his dismissal, so the English club's management announced the dismissal of his services on Tuesday evening and the beginning of the search for another coach to save the season.

Rooney's failure with Birmingham is a continuation of the series of failure of legendary players, especially English players, to succeed as coaches.

Gary Neville previously failed badly with Valencia and since then has no longer worked, while Frank Lampard's chances of working in the Premier League ended after Everton's tragic experience and his miserable failure to save Chelsea last season.

As for Steven Gerrard, the Liverpool legend, he failed with Aston Villa despite his initial success with Rangers, and now he coaches Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia.

There are other examples, such as Phil Neville, as well as Scottish Paul Scholes, the historic Manchester United star, and it is certain that the legends of the early millennium generation have never succeeded in training until now.
