Salah equals Haaland and Liverpool leads Premier League with a victory over Newcastle

Liverpool achieved an exciting victory over its guest, Newcastle, 4-2, in the match that brought them together at the end of the 20th round of the English Premier League competitions.

The first half was one of the strangest games in the Premier League this season, as the Anfield club fired 18 balls at goalkeeper Dubravka, but was unable to score, and Mohamed Salah missed a penalty kick.

But in the second half, the Egyptian Pharaoh succeeded in opening the scoring for his team in the 49th minute, and Newcastle quickly succeeded in an adjustment in the 54th minute against Alexander Isak.

After a torrent of wasted attempts, Curtis Jones put the Reds ahead in the 74th minute, then Cody Jacobo scored the third goal in the 78th minute, before Eddie Howe's squad returned to the game with the goal of reducing the difference through Sven Botman in the 81st minute.

But Mohamed Salah was able to compensate Liverpool fans for missing the penalty kick, and scored a second penalty kick in the ninetieth minute that killed the match.

With his two goals, Mohamed Salah equaled Erling Haaland's number of goals at the top of the Premier League's top scorers with 14 goals.

In the same context, Liverpool moved away from the top of the English Premier League standings by reaching point 45, 3 points behind the closest pursuers, Aston Villa.
