FIFA has set the start date for the 2025 Club World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in the United States of America.

This edition will be historic by all standards, as it will witness the participation of 32 teams instead of the old system in which only 7 clubs participate.

According to FIFA's announcement on Sunday, the World Cup in its new look will be held between June 15 and July 13, 2025.

The World Cup will witness the participation of 12 European teams, 4 from Asia, 4 from Africa, and 4 from North America, as well as 6 clubs from South America, the American League champion next season, and the Oceania champion.

Real Madrid will be at the head of the European participants, along with Chelsea and Manchester City, champions of the last 3 editions of the Champions League.

Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Inter, Benfica and Porto will be added to the previous trio, depending on the ranking of the best in the old continent.

There are 4 other clubs remaining that will be determined in the coming period, and Barcelona has a great chance of being among them.

As for Asia, Al Hilal and Urawa are confirmed to participate so far, versus Wydad of Morocco and Al Ahly of Egypt from Africa, and Monterrey, Lyon and Seattle Sounders from North America.

3 Brazilian clubs will represent South America: Palmeiras, Fluminense and Flamengo, and 3 clubs will be determined later.

The system of the competition itself has not been announced yet, but it is expected that it will be held like the World Cup for teams, with a system of 8 groups, each of which will qualify for the first and second round to the round of 16 and even the final rounds in the usual manner.
