Erik Ten Hag, coach of Manchester United, believes in his team's ability to achieve victory against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, despite the crushing defeat that the Red Devils suffered 3-0 from Bournemouth on Saturday evening in the English Premier League.

United need to win over Bayern on Tuesday at Old Trafford, with Galatasaray and Copenhagen drawing, in order to advance to the round of 16 of the Champions League.

Many doubted the possibility of achieving this after the poor performance shown by the Red Devils against Bournemouth at the Theater of Dreams, but Ten Hag came out and defended his team’s fortunes and even announced the challenge to the Bavarian club.

Ten Hag said in statements to the media, "We know that we can beat Bayern and we showed that during the last week. We have to leave what happened today behind us and move forward, just to learn from what happened."

As for the defeat by Bournemouth itself, the Dutchman held himself responsible, saying, "We had to be better prepared for the match. I bear responsibility for that. We are suffering from a lack of consistency. We also collapsed after the second goal."

United fans booed their team, and Ten Hag commented, "I understand their feelings, disappointment, and frustration because of us. We have to do better and perform well in every match."

It should be noted that Bournemouth's defeat was United's seventh in the Premier League this season, leaving their score frozen at 27 points in sixth place.
