The Sun newspaper reported that Liverpool will suffer a real crisis in January and February thanks to the absence of Mohamed Salah to participate with the Egyptian national team in the African Cup of Nations.

The Pharaohs will begin their participation in the tournament scheduled to be held in Côte d'Ivoire on January 14 by facing Mozambique, in a group that also includes the Ghana national team and the Cape Verde national team.

Salah will be with the national team a week before this date, which means that he will miss the match against Arsenal in the third round of the FA Cup.

Salah's absence may extend to include 7 matches at once, if Egypt succeeds in repeating the achievement of the last edition and reaching the final match.

Salah's absence will include Fulham's home and away matches in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup and Bournemouth in the English Premier League, as well as the upcoming summits against Arsenal and Chelsea in the Premier League, as well as the Burnley match.

Jurgen Klopp had previously expressed his dissatisfaction with the date of the African Cup of Nations, but stressed that there was nothing he could do about it.

It is noteworthy that Salah is Liverpool's top scorer this season with 15 goals in all tournaments, while the Reds occupy second place in the Premier League and have qualified for the round of 16 of the European League, while still competing for the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.
