The Saudi national team includes Yaya Toure to Mancini's technical staff

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation announced that Yaya Toure has joined the technical staff of coach Roberto Mancini in leading the first national team.

Mancini took over the Saudi national team last August from Hervé Renard, but so far he has not managed to achieve any victory during 4 friendly matches played in the last September and October stoppages.

According to the announcement, the SAFF fulfilled Mancini's desire to contract with Toure to become his first assistant in training the "green".

The Ivorian international worked as an assistant coach in 3 previous experiences in the last 4 years with Olympique Donetsk of Ukraine, Ahmed Grozny of Russia and Standard Liege of Belgium, and before that he was coach of the Tottenham U-16 team.

Toure has a great history with Roberto Mancini, as it was the Italian who brought him as a player to Manchester City, and together they succeeded in winning the first English league for the club since many decades.

It is noteworthy that the Saudi national team is preparing to play in the 2023 Asian Cup scheduled to be held in January 2024 in Qatar, and was knocked out in one group with Oman, Kyrgyzstan and Thailand.
