Two strikes for Manchester United before the Liverpool match

Manchester United coach Eric Ten Hag announced that his team will lose the services of Harry Maguire and Anthony Martial in the Liverpool match on Sunday due to injury.

Maguire suffered the injury during United's 1-0 defeat by Bayern Munich on Tuesday in the Champions League, a match in which Martial did not participate due to fatigue.

Maguire's absence in particular is a strong blow to the Red Devils after he succeeded in regaining his starting position at the heart of the defence, and he was one of the team's main pillars last month to the point that he received the Player of the Month award in the English Premier League.

But despite the strikes of Maguire and Martial, United will regain the services of another duo, Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw, against Liverpool.

Rashford, like Martial, suffered from fatigue and missed the Bayern match, while Shaw was injured during the match and was replaced.

In general, United's list of absences for the match scheduled to be held at Anfield is full, as Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia, Mason Mount, and Christian Eriksen are all absent due to injury.

It is noteworthy that Liverpool enters the North East England derby leading the Premier League standings with 37 points, while United occupies sixth place with 27 points.
