Manchester United tied with its host Galatasaray 3-3, in the exciting match that was held between them for the fifth round of the Champions League, leaving it in need of a miracle to reach the round of 16.
United took the lead a quarter of an hour after the start of the match, with goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandez, then Hakim Ziyech reduced the difference in the 29th minute.
With the start of the second half, Scott McTominay scored the third goal for United in the 55th minute, but Ziyech returned and scored a second goal in the 62nd minute, before Kerim Aktokoğlu scored the equalizer for the hosts in the 71st minute.
With this result, United reached the fourth point, and the chances of reaching the round of 16 of the Champions League became almost impossible.
Bayern Munich will meet Copenhagen today, and if the Danish club succeeds in defeating the Bavarian giant, this will be an official announcement of United bidding farewell to those same ears.
If Bayern wins, Manchester United will need to defeat the German club in the final round, provided that Galatasaray and Copenhagen draw in order to advance to the round of 16.
It is noteworthy that Bayern Munich leads the group standings with 12 points and has qualified for the final eight, while Galatasaray comes second with 5 points, with 4 points for Copenhagen and United in third and fourth places.
