What is the reason for Van Dijk's sudden absence from the Liverpool-Arsenal match?

Liverpool fans were surprised by the unexpected absence of Virgil van Dijk from the Reds' lineup to face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the third round of the FA Cup.

The Dutch international participated without problems in all of Liverpool's matches in December, and was also part of Jurgen Klopp's squad that defeated Newcastle last week, with a score of 4-2.

With his absence even from the substitutes, rumors began to circulate about his injury and the possibility of him being absent from the field for a relatively long period of time.

But Liverpool, in an official statement, revealed the reason for Van Dijk’s absence from the upcoming Arsenal summit, which was that he was suffering from a health problem.

According to the statement, 32-year-old Van Dijk is not suffering from an injury or anything of the sort, and he can be present in Fulham’s next match if he recovers from his illness.

It is noteworthy that Liverpool is already missing the services of Mohamed Salah and Wataru Endo to participate with Egypt and Japan in the African Cup and the Asian Cup, in addition to multiple other absences due to injuries to Thiago Alcantara, Andy Robertson, Tsimikas, Joel Matip, and Dominic Soposolai.
