What scared Guardiola all summer?

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has heaped praise on his star man Bernardo Silva for his impressive form against Manchester United during the club's 3-0 victory.

The Spaniard told Sky Sports after the match, praising Bernardo Silva: "He doesn't wear earrings or tattoos and has a normal car, he's an amazing player and loves playing at Old Trafford."

"We were all at Manchester City terrified of losing him last summer, he never compensates."

"Everyone loves him, today he put in another great performance, he's one of the best players I've ever seen, I'm really lucky to be coaching him, he's one of the best, look at how smart he is and how he's a very good person," Guardiola said.

During the last two summers, Bernardo Silva's name was on the table for Barcelona in particular, as the Catalan club tried to sign him more than once, but the difficult financial crisis at the Camp Nou prevented the completion of the deal.

In the end, Bernardo stayed at City, continuing his role as a pillar of Guardiola's squad, and this season he made 11 appearances in all competitions during which he scored one goal and assisted two others.
