Zamalek suffer the first defeat in the Egyptian league against ENPPI

Zamalek defeated from its host ENPPI by two goals to one, in the match that brought them together at the Arab Contractors Stadium in the framework of the fifth round of the Egyptian league.

Despite the White Knights' wide five-point win in the last round against Smouha, a very disappointing performance by Juan Carlos Osorio's battalion saw them suffer their first defeat of the season in the domestic competition.

ENPPI took the lead in the 22nd minute through Ziad Kamal's shot, but Ahmed Sayed Zizou quickly managed to adjust the cuff from the penalty spot in the 30th minute.

In the second half, despite the control of Zamalek, the petroleum club succeeded in scoring the winning goal over Ahmed Amin "Ufa" from a header in the 68th minute.

With this result, Zamalek's balance freezes at the eighth point and falls to fourth place, while ENPPI reached the seventh point and has 7 points.

Zamalek's defeat will raise many questions about the future of coach Juan Carlos Osorio, especially since the management of Hussein Labib has hinted more than once about its dissatisfaction with the levels provided by the team under his tenure.

The Colombian coach's contract extends until the end of this season, and in the event that the management of Zamalek decides to dismiss him, it must pay a large penalty clause, which may lead to its continuation for a longer period in light of the stifling material crisis experienced by the club languishing in Mit Oqba.
